Retirement Communities
Retirement Communities are designed for those who are active, have no care needs and choose to live in a community with other seniors. These communities are typically an apartment-like format and offer organized social programs, central restaurant-like dinning, transportation, recreational activities, and access to health and shopping facilities.
Independence is a keyword here. Retirement communities offer no assistance in the activities of daily living. When assisted living becomes necessary home health is an option for one in a retirement community, however the costs can be prohibitive. Assisted living would be a better option if you or your loved one needs help.
